What is moissanite?
Moissanite is a unique gemstone made of silicon carbide, and was first discovered in 1893 by a man named Henri Moissan. Natural moissanite is an extremely rare mineral only found in meteorites and presolar grains. For this reason, moissanite is synthesized in a laboratory for industrial applications and jewelry.
Moissanite is an extremely durable stone, with a hardness level of 9.25 on the Mohs scale, and a refractive index of 2.65. Compared to diamonds and other popular gemstones, these characteristics make moissanite an excellent choice based on its optical properties and durability.

Therefore, we have created high-quality stones that reflect what we believe to be the most beautiful characteristics of moissanite.

Yasamine's exclusive brand of Truth Diamonds are lab created. They are real diamonds, made of 100% carbon, and look identical to earth mined diamonds, without the conflict origin.
Our diamonds are all guaranteed to be colorless and eye clean, most ranging between D-G color and VVS1-VS2. We cut diamonds to order to meet varying customer requests and keep costs down.
how lab diamonds are made
Lab diamonds are produced in a laboratory through a process called Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Advanced technologies mimic the conditions through which diamonds naturally develop, starting with a small diamond seed. These conditions allow the diamond seed to replicate itself, growing in the same crystallized structure of an earth mined diamond, producing a 100% carbon rough diamond.
Our rough stones are then cut by skilled artisans, in the same facilities as earth mined diamonds. As a result, they possess the same crystallized structure, chemical composition, optical and physical properties as an earth mined diamond.
Truth Diamonds are indistinguishable from earth mined diamonds, even by seasoned jewelers and gemologists.
Once our diamonds are cut, they are graded by IGI based on the four C's: carat, clarity, cut and color. Each diamond is analyzed by expert gemologists using state-of-the-art equipment to inspect the diamond and produce a report of the unique characteristics of the diamond, also known as a certificate.
The reason why we do not send our diamonds to GIA for grading is because their reports for lab diamonds are not specific in regards to Color or Clarity. Rather than stating a specific color and clarity grade, they simply report the stone as "colorless" and "slightly included". We prefer to sell stones that are accurately graded so our customers know exactly what they are purchasing.
One of the many benefits of a lab created diamond is the sustainable process in which they are grown, which does not negatively affect the ecology surrounding the facility. Diamond mining is responsible for grave environmental damage and disruption of local wildlife populations. Centuries of reckless diamond mining have caused soil erosion, water pollution, deforestation, re-routed rivers and constructed dams, which in turn affect fish, wildlife and local populations. In some cases, entire eco-systems have been known to collapse, like in the case of the Kono district of Sierra Leone. Today countless open-pits have been abandoned and have created a public health disaster due to stagnant water, malaria and other water-borne diseases.
